GENERAL

How will my plant or tree arrive?

The majority of our artificial plants and trees come cemented in a standard black round carriage pot. This is generally 15cm by 15cm although for taller trees it can be bigger - maybe 20cm by 20cm. They are purely a means to give the product some weight and a basic means to stand up, allowing for you to plant the tree complete in the carriage pot in a more decorative planter of your choice. This can then be filled with sand, soil, gravel and topped off with a decorative topping like coloured pebbles. We sell a wide variety of planters and topping to help you complete your display. Some plants and smaller items come with no pot at all and just a stem. We try to mention this wherever possible. This will simply push into your soil or oasis foam. Most items are shipped in cardboard boxes and will require minimal dressing and positioning of the foliage once unpacked. Most trees will arrive with the branches pointing upwards to ease transportation and reduce packaging size - please don't be alarmed if your 6ft tree looks nearer 7ft in the box etc - this will be rectified once unpacked and the branches are pulled down to a natural shape.

Do you do trade prices?

We are retailers so we cannot offer trade prices. We are happy to look at offering discounts based on order quantity/value and repeat custom for genuine businesses who wish to set up an account with us. We would require proof of your business and a reference along with an e-mail of a sample order for us to quote on.

Do you offer discounts?

We have many Special Offers throughout our website already, often for buying by the box or for products which we are holding too much stock of that we want to promote sales of. We are unable to give further discounts on these already discounted items unless large quantities are required. On products not currently on Special Offer we may be able to offer discounts for bulk buys dependant on your total order value, the products chosen and your preffered payment method etc. We won't be offended if you ask but please don't be offended if we decline.

How can I pay for my order?

When placing an order our website will automatically take you to a payment screen to complete your order. This will give advice on how to pay. You have an option of paying with all major Credit or Debit Cards (including Amex/American Express) using our secure payment provider or 'PayPal' (even if you don't already have a 'PayPal' Account). These are both also secure, trusted and Worldwide recognised organisations who safely process card payments on our behalf within our secure website. Or you can send a Cheque payable to 'Just Artificial Limited' or even pay Postal Order. If you visit our Showroom, you are also able to pay by any of the above methods or Cash. As we tend not to keep cash on the premises please try to have the correct amount or readily available change - Thank you!

What are your plants, trees and flowers made of?

The products are made out of different materials - silks, polyester, plastics, wood etc to name a few. We try to put on the individual item the material the product is made from. If there is a product which doesn't have the details, please drop us an e-mail, we can e-mail you back the information, at the same we will be able to add the info to our website.

Are any of your products fire retardant?

Yes, any item that is Fire Retardant (FR) is marked FR or Inherently Fire Retardant (IFR) in the product details. All such products should be searchable under our Fire Retardant section which can be found in the drop down menu on the left, at the bottom under More (a-z). Inherently Fire Retardant means the treatment is done during manufacture so it is within the material and will not wash out or need re-treating. All are done to BS5852 and copy certificates are available on request. For an additional cost we may be able to arrange for any other products be be treated after manufacture, however this treatment would wash off with liquids and possibly need re-coating from time to time.

Does Just Artificial offer a hiring service?

Unfortunately we can no longer offer this service, sorry.

Can you send samples of your artificial plants to me?

We are able to send samples of leaves and flowers, only if we have slightly damaged items, as we don't want to de-face any products. If you want to look at some flowers, we are happy for you to place an order and return any that are not what you are looking for.

I live outside of the UK, can I make an order?

Yes. We accept orders from all over the world. We would ask you email the details of the items you are interested in and the delivery address. We would then contact different courier companies to see what the delivery cost would be. We would then contact you to advise you on the cost for you to decide if you want to continue with the order.

Please note: currently due to Insurance Restrictions we can sell to the USA and Canada but we cannot ship items to any USA or Canadian addresses, please contact us for more info if you was looking for delivery to USA or Canada. Are your products suitable for Outdoor & Exterior use and do you offer any guarantees?

Through our years of experience we have found that a high majority of our products can be used outdoors, whilst still offering good performance and value for money yet still needing little or no maintenance. However please note the majority of artificial plants, trees, silk flowers, ivy trails and all related products are not specifically designed for outdoor use (unless stated) - wherever you choose to buy them from, no matter what another company may tell you. We believe in being transparently honest from the start with our customers, in the hope this helps build on relationships and retains future business. Where we have products we know (through trials and customer feedback) that have performed well outside we have added them to our Outdoor & Exterior section. We also offer a great range of products that are more suited for outdoor use - these too are in our Outdoor & Exterior section. Unfortunately the length of time that any of our products would last is not something we could guarantee or anyone could promise as there are many factors - such as the extremes of weather the products are subjected to or length of time of direct sunlight, especially if they are behind glass or windows which can amplify the suns UV rays and reduce the time before products can begin to fade over time. We can offer on selected products to apply a special UV resistant spray coating for a small additional charge, which will prolong their lifespan and durability under more demanding circumstances ie. in prolonged UV rays and sunlight. We like to be clear and honest to help our customers make an informed decision, if you'd like in depth information on this please email us for further details.

How fast is delivery?

Justartificial.co.uk aim to provide a quick turn around with delivery. If you order before 12.00hrs on normal UK working weekdays and the item is in our warehouse stock, we will endeavour to dispatch the same day or if not then the following working day. Our website will show on the product pages what quantity of that item is available in real time for dispatch and approximately how many days before our next stock delivery of that item is expected.

At busy periods (such as Christmas, Valentines etc) it may take a bit longer but if your order is needed by a certain date or time please let us know when ordering(or call/email us straight after) and we will do our best to give priority to your order. We will also advise you of any additional delivery services we can offer to get it there on time (additional charges may apply for upgraded delivery services) for example next day by 1pm, Saturday deliveries etc. If any of your order item(s) are out of stock, then you will be notified by email or telephoned by our customer services during office hours, we will either offer you a similar item to the same or greater value, pre-order the same item for when it does arrive in stock, or cancel that item from your order at your request. We will not change your order or send you a different item without your authorisation.

How much is delivery?

We charge delivery costs to cover the P&P (post & packing) based on the weight and size of the boxed items. Our minimum standard P&P cost is £3.00 and the maximum standard P&P you would pay for any amount of stock items is £14.95 (as long as delivery is to one UK Mainland address weekdays, business hours and the items don't require any special courier requests other than the standard next working day delivery). Currently goods order values of £300 and above qualify for Free UK Mainland standard delivery (as long as delivery is to one UK Mainland address weekdays, business hours and the items don't require any special courier requests other than the standard next working day delivery). Please note any delivery service upgrade charges may still apply (such as Morning delivery or Next Working Day delivery upgrades).

Where do you deliver to?

We can deliver orders/products all over the World. We need your delivery address and postal code or Zip so we can provide a competitive delivery quote. We would shop around our couriers to see what the best price is and we only charge you it at cost. If the quote is suited to your budget we can take any additional payments over the telephone if you have already placed your order, or we can take the entire order over the telephone if you have not yet placed the order. You are under no obligation at all to proceed if the quote is more than you are happy to pay and if you have already placed an order we would cancel and refund it.

Tell me about delivery

Items in stock will usually be dispatched within 24-48 working hours, although at busy periods (such as Christmas) please allow up to 7 days for delivery. If your order is of a high urgency then please let us know by e-mail, phone or in the 'Extra information' box when ordering online, we will do our best and also advise you if there is a problem. On your request we can (for an additional premium) arrange for timed deliveries (before 12 (Noon), 10.30am or 9.00am) and Saturday deliveries (subject to availability).

When ordering you also have the option to have the goods delivered to a different address to the receipt/payment address (eg a workplace or if the item is a gift). If an item is out of stock we will advise you ASAP by e-mail of an anticipated delivery date.

UK mainland smaller items will be sent Recorded delivery by First Class Royal Mail post or Hermes Logistics Tracked. Larger items will be sent by courier. We may be able to arrange free local delivery depending on distance and goods ordered, please ask. Our standard delivery is weekdays 9am - 5pm, except for posted items which may arrive on a Saturday. A signature will be required on the delivery of all goods. Generally we will e-mail you on the day of dispatch so that you know what day to expect delivery.

Our UK mainland standard delivery charges start from £3.00 (this is for 'post' and packaging) and increase/are applied in relation to the size and number of the item(s) you are ordering, up to our maximum total standard delivery charge of £14.95!* (No matter how many extra items you order). The relevant delivery charge for your selected items is shown in the mini-basket at the top right of the screen and in the checkout before you confirm your order. If your goods order total is £300.00 or more then UK mainland delivery is FREE. The above applies to all* our stock products. My question isn't answered in your FAQ's section - how can I contact you directly?

You can email us at sales@justartificial.co.uk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and we will respond as quickly as possible during normal weekday working hours. (Our normal Office hours are Mon - Fri 9.00am - 5.00pm). You can also call our friendly knowledgeable office staff on with your enquiry or to place an order over the telephone, normal weekday working hours.

Out of hours orders can only be placed online and your call will be answered 7 days a week, 365 days a year by our out of hours message taking centre. You can leave your details and message ready for us to call you back at a convenient time, during our normal office hours. We will get back to you as quickly as we can, please refrain from leaving multiple messages as this will not speed up the response. We also have a live online chat available during certain hours weekdays, where you can get instant help. The chat will say Online if an advisor is available and is generally at the bottom right of your screen. I made an order but want to change something in it, how can I do this?

If your order has not been dispatched then yes, although the sooner you notify us the better - preferably before it has been packed would be helpful for us. If the order has been dispatched then you would need to return any unwanted items and re-order any others you wanted instead. In any circumstance if call or e-mail us we will do our best to offer the quickest, easiest and most helpful solution based on the current status of your order.

Is it too late to change some details in my order?

If you need to change you order at all; either an address, adding or deducting an item, e-mail as soon as possible and, if the order has not been dispatched, then we will change the details.

I've made a mistake in my order - what should I do?

If you find that you have made a mistake on your order, please contact us and let us know as soon as you realise. We change the details before item is disptached. If the item has been dispatched, we will do what we can to help make sure that you get the order corrected.

How can I find a particular product?

There are many ways which you can use to find a certain product - one of the quickest and easiest is to type in a search term or the name of the product in our Search bar at the top of every page. If you don't know the name of a product or have anything in particular in mind to purchase you can search by criteria using the Filter menus on the left of our products pages. For example if the product has to be a certain size, or colour, or cost or any combination of all the options you can select as many as you wish and you will be shown all the products that match your selection. You can remove as any selected options by clicking the crosses by the selection in the menu on the left or at the top of the page there will be a list of currently selected criteria.

By default products currently out of stock are 'hidden' but you can change this to 'show' them by ticking the box in our Filters on the product pages at the left, towards the bottom. If we know our next delivery date it will show on the Product Details page and you can also request us to send you a no obligation Email when any sold out products you chose come back into stock.

When a product has a stem can the stem be cut, trimmed down or bent?

Yes, all our stemmed flowers could be snipped or cut down to your preferred size to suit your vase or display - the only exception is some of our flowers have sealed watertight stems (if so this should be stated in the product description/features) and whilst these still can be cut down they will no longer be water tight - so over time if you put them in real water/a liquid the water may go discoloured as the exposed inner metal stem begins to corrode. We cannot accept any items back where they have been cut ot trimmed.

The stems can generally be bent too and the majority have metal wire inside the stems that you cannot see so that they will stay in your desired position. Usually these can be straightened back out again at a later date although some stems do this easier than others.

Why has a product been discontinued?

Products can sometimes get to the end of their run and will only be re-run if there is high enough demand. Some seasonal items, trends and fashion can all play a part in the life span of a product. If we can no longer obtain a certain product and we have no stock left we will mark it as discontinued. Where possible we will suggest a link to a replacement or a similar product.

Why do you show discontinued products on your website when I can't buy them?

We keep any discontinued items on our site mainly for reference and information purposes. For example if you ordered a product from us 2 years ago and you came to buy another, yet it was discontinued, at least you could find it and possibly we will have suggested the replacement or a similar item. If a customer is looking for a bulk buy, say for marketing purposes and has found an ideal product, yet it is discontinued there may be a chance we can order a bespoke run especially. These kind of orders do need a good 3 months plus to allow for manufacture and shipping along with a sufficient quantity. See our other FAQ's for details or contact us.

I want an item that you don't sell - can you source new products for me or can I get something made especially for me?

Yes, it is possible - please e-mail or telephone us with your requirements. We can source many products not on our website (sometimes within days) and cannot list them all. We are happy to make enquiries on avaialability but we cannot order small quantities of an item, so you would need to be looking for quite a few or it would have to be something we think would be worth us stocking and running for the future. For especially made products or to re-run discontinued products please be aware that you would need to be ordering a significant quantity, be able to wait at least 3 months for manufacture and shipping, be able to pay up front and agree to purchase in the knowledge that such bespoke, tailor made custom orders are not returnable or refundable from the point of order. Ordering a sample is highly recommended, in fact we insist!

I need Fire Retardant products - do you sell any and to what standard are they treated?

Yes we do - Just Artificial have an exclusive range of Inherently Fire Retardant (IFR) products. These products have been tested by numerous fire departments worldwide and we have our own B.S.certificates (BS 5852). With Inherently Fire Retardant foliage you get consistent cover even on Pvc parts, this is because it is part of the manufacturing process. The protection is not sprayed or dipped into fire retardant chemicals and as a result will not leave an oily film which attracts dust or washes off. There is also no re-proofing required. With large scale commercial projects, it is factors like these that make all the difference, and give you peace of mind.

Are your products suitable for Outdoor & Exterior use and do you offer any guarantees?

Through our years of experience we have found that a high majority of our products can be used outdoors, whilst still offering good performance and value for money yet still needing little or no maintenance. However please note the majority of artificial plants, trees, silk flowers, ivy trails and all related products are not specifically designed for outdoor use (unless stated) - wherever you choose to buy them from, no matter what another company may tell you. We believe in being transparently honest from the start with our customers, in the hope this helps build on relationships and retains future business. Where we have products we know (through trials and customer feedback) that have performed well outside we have added them to our Outdoor & Exterior section. We also offer a great range of products that are more suited for outdoor use - these too are in our Outdoor & Exterior section. Unfortunately the length of time that any of our products would last is not something we could guarantee or anyone could promise as there are many factors - such as the extremes of weather the products are subjected to or length of time of direct sunlight, especially if they are behind glass or windows which can amplify the suns UV rays and reduce the time before products can begin to fade over time. We can offer on selected products to apply a special UV resistant spray coating for a small additional charge, which will prolong their lifespan and durability under more demanding circumstances ie. in prolonged UV rays and sunlight. We want to see what you do with our products once they have been delivered! You don't have to be creative or a fancy designer - we just want to see the end result whether it is a single stem flower in a vase on your kitchen window sill or a massive contractor project or a full display arrangement. Please email us your photos and snaps of any of our products in situ for us to use on our website, Facebook & other Socail Media platforms, Newsletters, website Gallery etc to show off your creation and for our promotional purposes. In return we will enter your name into our Monthly prize draw. The first 3 names pulled out from the month just ended will win a Cash Prize! So go on take a photo or photos of your finished display, your hanging basket outside, your tree planted up on your office or restaurant or showroom - anywhere! We want to see what your finished project looks like. We reserve the right to use all photos sent in whether you win a prize or not and will let you know if we do use them. If you notice any errors in any part of our website whether it be technical, incorrect information, wrong specifications or just plain old typos and spelling mistakes please let us know. For your efforts and to show our appreciation we will enter your details into a weekly £10 Prize Draw. You never know you may be one of only a few who enter or even the only one who finds a mistake so your chances could be high to win, in addition we have already been over our site and checked for errors countless times - but there is always something that slips through the net! There is no limit to the amount of times you enter, but a minimum of one unique error per entry is required. There will be one winner each week maximum winning a single prize of £10 cash. The first name pulled out of the draw will be that weeks Winner. Each draw will take place on the following weeks Monday.
